On December 28, Owen was baptized at our new church, Church of the Gesu in University Heights. We asked our siblings, Meghan & Brian, to be Owen's Godparents (as they are for Ainsley), and Owen wore the same gown that I wore for my own baptism.
We were excited to learn that His Excellency Archbishop Michael L. Fitzgerald would be celebrating the Mass, and thus, performing Owen's baptism (not everyone gets to be baptized by an archbishop!). He is currently serving as Scholar in Residence at John Carroll University and also supports the congregation at Gesu, so we were lucky to have him at Owen's baptism Mass.

We were so happy that our family could join us for this special day, as Owen received the sacrament of baptism and was welcomed into the church.
After the ceremony, everyone came back to our house for cake and Christmas cookies.
