Ho, Ho, ... Don't Think So!

We went to a Christmas party at the South Euclid Community Center. It was really cute - they had crafts, snacks and holiday videos playing. There was even an opportunity to see Santa.

We put together Ainsley's Christmas list, waited in line, and got up to the big guy himself. But Ainsley had other ideas. She wouldn't let go of my arm, so here's our picture with Santa this year...

Luckily, Ainsley enjoyed the other activities much better.

Creating a card with Mommy

Getting Ready for Christmas

Christmas Day is almost here! A lot of fun activities went into getting ready for Christmas this year:

Ainsley made Christmas chocolate at our neighbor's house.
Painting the molds
A chocolate ornament!

We attended the Mayfield and Brush High School band winter concerts.  Here we are at Mayfield - Kitty got her own seat!

Friday, December 20 was Pajama Day at Big Girl School (a.k.a. daycare). They all got to wear jammies and watch a Christmas movie in the gym. Ainsley was super excited to wear her jammies to school.

Ainsley helped Mommy bake Christmas cookies.

And Ainsley had lots of fun playing with Clio around the Christmas tree.

Santa Land at Kraynak's

We joined Great Grandma & Grandpa Paul Shellhammer for a Christmas celebration in mid-December. Our afternoon started at Kraynak's to see their Santa Land display, then we stopped for dinner and to Great Grandma & Grandpa's house to open presents!

Waiting in line
I loved the Steelers/Browns house divided

Trimming the Tree

We had a lot of fun picking out and decorating our Christmas tree this year. The pictures speak for themselves!

Putting lights on the tree...and on Mommy?!

Leaves and Wishes

A blessing and a curse of the "mature" trees in our yard -- lots of leaves. Ainsley & I had a good time playing in them one Fall afternoon. She wanted to go on a "hayride," so I dragged her along in the tarp.

Love this one!
Sweet girl

A few weeks later, we had a very happy Thanksgiving with Nana & Granddad at Chez Wills West. Ainsley and I got the wishbone:

It was a tough little bone...
The wishbone broke evenly, so we both get our wish!

Other Fall Fun

Fall is a busy season, filled with so many fun things to do. The weather started out unseasonably warm in October, but ended with cold rain and snow. The change in weather was quite abrupt this year. Here are a few more activities we enjoyed during October.
Playing at Legacy Village

Apple Butter Festival

Beautiful Fall day for the Apple Butter Festival in Burton
Amish buggy

Great day for flying kites
Chasing bubbles

Halloween Hayride

We enjoyed the Halloween Hayride at the Lake Metroparks, but it was cold & snowy, so we didn't take many pictures.

Scary Art

When Grandma Molnar visited in October, Ainsley asked her to help make "scary art," which they posted on the pantry door. They drew witches, ghosts, black cats, vampires, scarecrows and other spooky Halloween characters.
